About Natural Clothing Company
Natural Clothing Company is a retailer of organic and natural fibers clothing. We carry fabulous clothing and accessories for the whole family, as well as green business promotional items. We are deeply concerned with overuse of toxins in our environment, affecting basics like food and clothing.
Our goal is to provide healthier choices as simple as organic socks for your feet and shirt on your back. After all, skin IS your body's largest organ.
Switching to organic clothing also creates a large positive impact on our planet and supports dedicated farmers/manufacturers who make it work without pesticides, insecticides, heavy dyes and work in socially responsible manner.
Areas of Focus: We support number of green causes, especially the ones supporting responsible agricultural crops for both food and clothing. We are adamantly oppose the use of Genetically Modified Organisms, which via additives affects now close to 75% of all processed foods and close to 43% cotton. The lack of sustainable agriculture harms significantly our environment. Cotton is one of the most polluted crops on earth, perhaps due to a wrong perception as a non-food crop, causing a significant risk to our freshwater. It uses 24% of the global insecticides market but at the same time, its acreage amounts to only 2.4% of the world's cultivated land. On top of that, all nine pesticides used on cotton in the U.S. are classified by the U.S. EPA as Category I and II- the most dangerous chemicals. To "solve" the problem, a Genetically Modified cotton was introduced. GMO cotton is modified to tolerate the application of glyphosate (an active ingredient in commercial herbicides), so this herbicide can be applied freely. But…that herbicide has been shown to move from cotton fabric into and through human skin.

Environmental Motivations and Concerns: We all know the answer. The solution for safe planet is NOT a better pesticide and GMO plants, but crops without poisons and chemicals. We need organic production that maintains and regenerates soil fertility without use of toxins or GM seeds or sprays. We need processing of fibers without harsh chemicals, utilizing enzymes instead of formaldehyde. All of it is a lot of effort and a lot of upstream swimming but it’s the only chance we have. And it can be possible only with informed society who will support the nature respecting methods. We all can help.
